Yard Proprieter Krissy Hammond-Parker
I was born and brought up in New Zealand and have been on or around horses since the age of 3. Since the mid 1980's I have focused on Dressage, after a spell of eventing and showjumping. Please visit my web site, www.krissyhammond-parker.co.uk for further information. I am a great supporter of the Brooke Hospital. Before Ivories, I had my own yard in Surrey. We moved down to Sussex in 2003. I had my horse in livery, just focusing on offering my training skills. Unfortunately, I found that many of the yards I that stabled my precious horse at, lacked the care and attention that I felt my horse required. I like to be somewhere that is clean, relaxed but also professional; to be comfortable around the proprietors and the other liveries; to have a good vibe; not suffer with poor quality forage, feed and insufficient quantities. Sadly this was all too often the case and I couldn't find the perfect yard. Eventually I decided to have my own yard again, to provide my horse with the environment he so deserves. Luckily for my liveries at Ivories, they all too get that same high standard of detail I provide to my horse. All our horses are equal and receive the best care and attention.
Head Girl/Groom Kati Sheerman
Kati started working full time at Ivories in January 2011. She has become my "mini me" and is an excellent groom and has learnt to become a very good competition groom. I don't need to ask for anything when out competing, she does it all - we're a great team. She continues to learn equine management and her riding skills have come on tremendously. We have bought her a horse, to have as her own, Tillie, pictured to the left. She won her very first dressage competition with 74%. We hope to get her competing on Young Riders (BYRDS) with my advanced dressage horse next year. Watch out for her in the future.
